I think this is by far the most FUN outfit that I've worn in 2019! It's a pet peeve of mine when bloggers refer to everything they wear as their "favorite item" (you can't have a new favorite five days a week on Instagram!)... but y'all this skirt really is my new favorite, haha! Also sharing a little summer bucket list in today's post!

As soon as I saw this skirt on the Chicwish website, I knew I had to have it. Partly because I love the blue and white stripes, but mostly because of the flamingos. In 2016, went on a girls' trip to Vegas for my birthday with my friends Ciera and Priyanka. We stayed at the Flamingo Hotel on the Strip! Since that trip, flamingos have been my friendship symbol with Ciera! For just about every birthday and Christmas since then, we've gotten each other at least one thing with a flamingo on it. Ciera and I are going on a girls' trip together in a few months, and even though it's a little early to be shopping for that, I knew that I needed this skirt so I could bring it along, so you'll definitely be seeing it styled again!
I also love this flirty white ruffle top from Chicwish! It is a bit low cut, but I just wore it with a white camisole underneath and I thought it looked fine that way. I think it would also look really cute paired with high waisted skinny jeans for a more fierce look!
Last year on the blog around this time, I shared a summer bucket list for 2018 (my first summer in Virginia). I was able to accomplish more things on it than I thought I would- and I recapped that at the end of summer in this post! While I don't want to make as in-depth of a bucket list for this summer, I still have a few Charlottesville and Virginia things that I'd like to do this summer. I find that I'm much more likely to do something if I write it publicly on my blog- haha!
My Summer 2019 Bucket List:
- Visit the Kluge-Ruhe Aboriginal Art Museum in Charlottesville
- Finally have one of my UVA alum friends give me an official tour of Grounds (UVA's fancy term for campus!)
- Go to five more new-to-me wineries on the Monticello Wine Trail
- Visit a lake beach or ocean beach in Virginia
- Visit Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park for Free Entry Day on June 15th
- Go to the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden in Richmond
- Visit the City Observatory Deck in Richmond
- Go to a concert (just bought a ticket last week for one!)
- Go outlet shopping (either here or in Maine when I go home this summer)
- Have 10 boxes packed in my apartment by August 1st (I'm moving to a new apartment over Labor Day Weekend)
This year's bucket list is a little shorter than last year's, but hopefully that gives me a higher likelihood of being able to finish everything! I'll post an update at the end of summer again about how I did with it. What's on your summer bucket list for this year?
God Bless,
xoxo Annaliese
Ahhhh this outfit is adorable. I totally agree with you that “Favorite” is over used by bloggers. This really might be my favorite outfit you’ve posted lately though. SO gorgeous! I love the bright colors and might have to get it. This is soo fun! I love to put together a seasonal bucket list too. Mine will be coming in a few weeks for summer. Yours has so many amazing ideas. I love the beach and lake too!
