What I Wore to Work: August 2020.

Time for another month of summer work outfits! As I do with most summer months, I wore a good amount of Lilly Pulitzer to work. I always miss wearing my Lilly regularly in the winter, so I try to take advantage of the work-friendly pieces that I have as much as I can in the warmer months. As always- you can find the specific details for each of these work outfits on my LikeToKnow. It profile! Also- there's a few less outfits this month than last since I had a week off this month. 😊

My Experience Flying During COVID-19.

Last week, I flew to and from Maine. Obviously a global pandemic isn't the ideal time to be racking up frequent flyer points, but when it comes to things like seeing family or important 2020 life events (like small weddings or funerals), flying might still be your best transportation option. I know that before I flew, I was really nervous and didn't quite know what to expect as far as the airport went. I wanted to share my recent experience with you today! Hopefully if you're flying soon this might help you feel a little more prepared, and even if you're not you might still be curious what things are like right now (like I was!).

When I've Been Behind the Camera.

Normally I'm in front of the camera all the time for the photography on this blog, but let's mix it up today. Time to take a look at the opportunities over the years that I've been behind the camera!

Red, White and Blue Outfit - Not Just For July 4th!

Hello and happy Monday! I'm back in Virginia from visiting my parents in Maine- let's just say my 3:30am alarm for work felt extra early today. But it's good to get back in the swing of things! Let's kick off this week with a summer outfit post- I gotta share my last few summer outfits soon because fall will be here before we know it.

Radio 101: Radio "Dictionary" for National Radio Day

Today (August 20th) is National Radio Day! This day always manages to creep up on me for the past few years, and I've never managed to celebrate this properly on the blog before. That's changing today! I'm sharing a radio "dictionary" of sorts- I thought it would be fun to share common, everyday words that have a different meaning for those of us who work in radio.

Vera Bradley Backpacks Review: Which Style is Best?

Vera Bradley has managed to do what I thought was impossible: they've made me a backpack fan! They kindly gifted me two of their post popular backpack styles for a social media campaign a couple months ago, and I've been enjoying using them so much that I wanted to share the photos here as well and a review of both styles.

Self Tanner for the Girl That Doesn't Tan: Isle of Paradise Tanning Drops Review.

Before this summer, I was convinced that my skin would never hold a warm summer glow. I was pale as could be for about 11 months of the year, and usually fighting off some sort of red sunburn for a few weeks in the summertime. But I've officially found a holy grail self tanner, it worked on me exactly how I wanted it to, and I couldn't be more pleased! Today I'm sharing all about my newfound obsession with Isle of Paradise Tanning Drops.

What to Wear To Work When There's No Dress Code.

Workplace dress codes can vary so much from office to office and industry to industry. There's the flexible and ever-popular business casual, to the conservative and esteemed business formal. It's fairly easy to find resources with suggestions on building your work wardrobe for the various dress codes. But what about when your workplace doesn't have a dress code? How do you dress each day? How much do you take advantage of the flexibility?

The two full-time jobs I've had in my adult life have something big in common: no dress code for the studios at either of them! That's pretty common for on-air folks in the radio industry. Since I've had a few years of practice of setting my own dress code, I wanted to share my tips with you today. As well as one of my favorite casual looks from this summer that would be a great for a more casual workplace!

Future House / Apt. Dreams.

With all the unexpected extra time spent staying safer at home this year, I've found myself spending a lot more time dreaming about possible future homes. If I could be staying home this year in my absolute dream living space, what would that look like? It's always fun to dream big, especially in a year where dreams seem to help me cope better with the everyday.

Relationship Monday: Single in a Pandemic.

The idea for this blog post has been on my heart for a few months now, but I was hesitant to write it until I felt ready. Let's get real about the thoughts and feelings behind being single during the COVID-19 pandemic.
