What I Wore to Work: August 2019

    I was feeling in a bit of workwear rut at the end of July- maybe due to the fact that I was coming back from a week off for vacation? 😉Maybe also because I'm starting to feel ready for fall fashion, but the August Virginia weather was way too hot to pull any of that out of my closet. Anyways, I wanted to challenge myself to still have fun with my work outfits this month- so I made a challenge of only wearing my favorite summer skirts and dresses! I wanted everything to get one more wear before Labor Day. Challenge accomplished!

Cherry Print Dress + Unintentional Relationship Monday Thoughts.

     Happy Monday! Trying to get all of my last few summer outfits shared on the blog sooner rather than later. I love this fun printed dress for this time of year. I'm also sharing a few personal thoughts in today's post about a certain feeling I've been dealing with lately. It's something kind of new for me and I'm curious if any of you have dealt with this also.

     Happy Thursday! I had hoped to get another Maine Travel Guide post up for you today, but with being just over a week out from moving, I didn't have the time to put that together this week. Travel blog posts take me the longest to write, and I didn't want to rush through with everything I have going on and publish something that I'm not quite proud of. I'll try to get that up in early September after moving!

Lilly Pulitzer Let's Cha Cha Skort (+ WHEN is the Next After Party Sale?)

     I'm wearing one of my very favorite Lilly Pulitzer pieces on the blog today- and I can't believe this is the first time this skort has gotten its own outfit post! I've had it for over five years, so better late than never I guess? I also wanted to chat about when the next After Party Sale might be- safe to say at this point it'll be within the next month, if not sooner!

Monticello Wine Trail: King Family Vineyards

     Can't believe it's taken me this long to finally review my favorite winery that I've been to so far,  but better late than never! Time to take a virtual trip over to King Family Vineyards. What to Wear to a Daytime Wedding.

    Most of the weddings that I've attended so far have all been late afternoon or evening weddings. I feel like there is a different type of dress code standard for morning or early afternoon weddings! You still wanted to look dressy and nice as a wedding is a special occasion, but it's not quite the same type of formality as a wedding later in the day. I'm going to my first noontime wedding next month, and I wanted to share an outfit that I put together as inspiration (that I might actually end up wearing for this wedding!). 

MAINE TRAVEL GUIDE: Visiting Peaks Island.

     Today I'm taking you on a virtual tour of one of my very favorite places in my home state- if not my absolute favorite! Let's set sail for Peaks Island! I'm hoping to convince you today that this gem is a must-visit if you're ever in Maine.

The Most Gorgeous Gingham Dress.

     This might very well end up being my favorite outfit post of 2019! I purchased this stunning dress way back in March when I organized a girls' weekend trip to Charlotte with all of my Charlottesville friends. Unfortunately by the time I could get these blog photos, the dress had long since sold out, but I love it so much that I still wanted to share it with you! I'm hoping the brand might bring back a similar version for 2020.

Charlottesville 2.0: Why I'm Moving Apartments Again.

     Happy Thursday Friends! Today isn't only the start of a new month, but it's the start of the next chapter of my story here in Charlottesville! I'm jokingly calling it Charlottesville 2.0. 😂 Anyways- my lease on my new apartment begins today! I will be picking up the keys on Saturday! This is my first time ever moving apartments for a reason that isn't moving out of state / new job, and over on Instagram Stories y'all seemed interested to know more of the why and details behind my decision to move locally. So here we go with this fun life update!
