What I Wore to Work: September 2019.

     It's the last day of September, so it's time yet again to share my work outfits from the month! September ended up being a very hot month in Virginia overall, so I was still re-wearing a lot of favorite summer work outfits. Also a disclaimer in advance that this month only has about half the amount of work OOTDs that I usually share! The first week of the month my mirror was still completely packed in bubble wrap from moving, and then I had a couple days off of work for my Charleston trip as well.

Colorful and Preppy Early Fall Look + Summer Bucket List Recap.

     It definitely doesn't feel like the first week of fall in Virginia this week- as the temperatures have been back in the mid-high 80s. A couple weeks ago we had a little taste of fall weather though- it got all the way down to the low 70s. Today I wanted to share this outfit that I wore during those cooler days, and I also wanted to recap my summer bucket list for this year- I was curious to see how many goals I accomplished!

SO... I Colored My Hair!

     Hello friends! I'm back after a mini blogging break during my trip to Charleston. Getting back into blogging this week by chatting HAIR! This year, I decided to give myself a birthday present! It's something that I have wanted to do for a long time, but was always too nervous to pull the trigger on or I didn't feel that I was at a place financially to invest in doing it well. But enough was enough, time to finally take the plunge on coloring my hair!

Fall 2019 Travel Plans!

     I leave tomorrow afternoon for a fun long weekend trip, and I have a few more travel plans coming up in the next couple months. The last time I wrote a blog post like this about upcoming travels, it was pretty well received. So I wanted to fill y'all in today on where I'm headed throughout this fall!

25th Birthday Recap!

    Last Friday, I turned 25! This year was my favorite birthday since turning 21- but I guess in full honesty, turning 21 will always be hard to top. 😉 25 is one of my lucky numbers so I've been excited for this birthday for a long time. Anyways, I normally share weekly recaps in my Midweek Ramblings posts on Wednesdays, but so much fun stuff happened with my birthday this year that I wanted to share it all in a separate recap blog post!

    Hi and happy Tuesday! I never do blog posts this late in the day- I always preschedule mine for 5am EST- and normally if I can't get it ready the night before I'll just do it later in the week. ANYWAYS- for the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale I make exceptions and say bring it on to afternoon posts! I was so excited to see today that a lot of the items I tried on during the in-store preview this weekend are now on the website! I wanted to highlight new items that were just added to the sale today, as well as share my purchases (so far)! So sorry that I couldn't get this up earlier in the day, but hopefully better late than never.

     I don't usually do blog posts on Sundays, but the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale is definitely a worthwhile reason to do one! 😉This weekend is the in-store preview event for the sale, and I was lucky to be the first person in line at the Charlottesville store to shop it yesterday morning!! Today I'll be sharing all the items I tried on and their sizing information, general thoughts on the in-store preview, and what I'm hoping to purchase in the online sale. I was so excited that the in-store preview fell on my birthday weekend this year!

7 Year Blogiversary: 25 Ways Blogging Has Changed in the Last 7 Years.

     SEVEN YEARS!!! Southern Belle in Training turns seven years old tomorrow, and I have so many feelings! I started this blog as a hobby on my 18th birthday my freshman year of college- I thought it would be fun to document the outfits that I wore to college classes and on weekends, and I also wanted a place to write and share about my experiences of moving far from home for school. If you had told me on September 6th, 2012 where my blog would be seven years later... I wouldn't have believed you! Honestly, I probably wouldn't have even believed that I'd still be blogging, haha!
