Ramblings:
  • Quarantine bucket list: About a month ago now one of my favorite bloggers, Kate of Lonestar Southern, shared a five item quarantine bucket list on her IG Stories. I used her template to make one of my own! Well- a few weeks in and I'm almost done mine! Four items down, one left to go. The last item I have to complete is making a photo book from college, something I've literally wanted to do since college but haven't. I'm planning to start on that this weekend. Do you have a favorite website to use to order these? I've only had experience with Walmart Photo before but I'd be open to trying somewhere else!
  • The Dream podcast: A couple weeks ago on IG Stories, I asked for recommendations for series podcasts. I have a few weekly podcasts that I tune into regularly, but it had been awhile since I really got into a good series. Someone recommended The Dream, and I've been enjoying making my way through the first season! It exposes the weird history of MLM companies, and interviews both people that currently work in them and also people who have gotten out of the industry. The second season of The Dream is about the wellness industry- I'm not sure if that topic will be up my alley as much, but I've definitely liked the first season.

Weekend recaps:
  • Last weekend: Friday night into Saturday I slept for 11 hours! I honestly can't remember the last time I did that. I spent most of Saturday organizing the floor space in my bedroom in front of the windows. That area has honestly been messy since I moved in back in September, but it's finally organized in a way that's functional and easy for me to keep neat! I spent most of Sunday working on baking my first cheesecake, and my roommate and I joined a friend of ours for a socially distanced walk outside. I also finished the second season of Gilmore Girls over the weekend.
  • This weekend: Definitely planning to work on my college photobook so I can finish off my quarantine bucket list! I also have some birthday/wedding gifts to order for friends so I anticipate some online shopping.

Purchases:
  • This classic white button down was included in a huge sale over the weekend, so I had to scoop it up. Shirts like these are a staple piece in your closet for sure!

Wishlist:
  • The summer dress of my dreams! It's a flattering cut, and has the most radiant colors and print.
  • I mean if we have to wear face masks in public... why not make them Lilly, right?
  • The Sephora Sale is underway! I don't have high enough status to be able to shop before Friday, but I'll be planning to get a few things. I definitely want to try this hair product!
  • I love the pretty aqua color of this dress! It's also under $20.
  • There's a huge Kendra Scott flash sale right now that ends tomorrow- tons of cute picks under $50.

Currently reading: The Dating Manifesto by Lisa Anderson - Lisa is the host of Boundless, one of my favorite podcasts. She's a single Christian woman in her 40s, and her recaps her decades of dating experience from a practical Christian standpoint in this book. I'm only a little bit into it so far, but I love the Boundless show so I imagine the book will be great!

Recipe of the week: Sheet Pan Nachos from The Thrifty Pineapple - These were so easy to make, and delicious too! Such a fun weekend dinner- and I'm going to save this recipe as an easy entertaining option for the future.

Song of the week: Rapture by Nadia Ali ft. Aviici - An older dance song favorite of mine that I rediscovered this week on Spotify! Sadly this song never did well in the US, but it did chart in several European countries (I swear they have better Top 40 music over there!).

Favorite blog posts of the week:
  • Nicholle Sophia - My friend Niki and her husband Kyle have used quarantine to completely renovate a bathroom in their home. The end result looks totally transformed, and totally fits the aesthetic of the rest of their home!
  • Chronicles of Frivolity - Katey opened up about her feelings during quarantine, and shared some simple things bringing her and her family joy right now.

On the blog this week:

     God Bless,

     xoxo Annaliese
