I'm so excited to finally be sharing some of my camera pictures from our holiday trip to England and Scotland! Trust me though- I have so many pictures to share and posts planned about the trip that you will soon be quite sick of me talking about it. ;-) I thought it would be fun to start things off with an OOTD post! This was my outfit that I wore for our day of sightseeing in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Before I say anything else, let me just acknowledge the fact that I finally have evidence that I'm no longer a young teenager and instead becoming a young adult. How do I know that? The fact that half of the items that I'm wearing in this outfit come from my mom's two favorite stores: L.L. Bean and Talbots! Back when I was in middle school, (and my daily uniform at the time was focussed around either a Hollister or Aeropostale t-shirt) my mom would sometimes try and buy me things from L.L. Bean. At the time I always thought that everything from there was disgusting and boring. An older cousin of mine told me that when I was older I would start to appreciate L.L. Bean (Which by the way practically the official store of my homestate! The flagship store in Freeport, ME is open 24/7. No joke.)... and that day has finally come! L.L. Bean is by no means my favorite store, and probably never will be... but when I saw this adorable plaid skirt I told my mom that I'd like it for Christmas! I knew that it would be the perfect thing to wear on our trip.

I'm not sure if I've said this already but my parents and I went to the UK through a bus tour through popular travel company Trafalgar. I think that bus tours have their pros and cons (that could be a whole blog post!), but since we were on a bus there were suitcase weight restrictions, and that meant that I couldn't bring as many cute clothes or shoes as I would have liked. This outfit was one of the nicer ones that I got to wear on the trip. Many days it was just a sweater, jeans and boots... but honestly when you are traveling for as many days as we were sometimes comfort is all that matters!

Stay tuned for much more about the trip coming this week! And also stay tuned for a post tomorrow about my monthly goals for January 2014... after seeing many of my favorite bloggers like Nicole and Jamie post goals for each month, I have been inspired to start sharing some of my own goals!

And lastly, today starts the second semester of my sophomore year of college! I can't believe that this is my fifth month of living in Charlotte, time is flying by!
