Blog therapy.

I didn't plan to write any posts of my own during my vacation, but I just wanted to share a little something that's been on my heart all day. I know that I've posted a few times about how much I learned in my freshman year about the importance of guarding your heart in terms of relationships with guys. I blogged about how I had a friendship gone wrong with a guy at school who had more feelings for me then I did for him, but thankfully that situation is over and done with now. However, there was a different guy friendship that I never had closure with.

There was a time last semester when I did have really strong feelings for someone. I can't even say now if he was leading me on the whole time or if he really did care for me, but I think the ultimate reason that we didn't work out is distance (and I'm not talking about Maine to NC). I thought I had processed my feelings about this "thing" months ago and put it behind me, but by being in Las Vegas I'm now in the same time zone as him. Everything that I felt two semesters ago is coming back, and I can't stop remembering it all. I talked to my mom about it as well as texting a friend from my former university. Both listened and offered good advice but it didn't really make me feel better. Then while my mom and I were at the hotel pool today it suddenly dawned on me that I needed to blog about it. Even though I feel like I'm taking a huge risk by writing about this right now (if this guy happened to read my blog he'd know it was him I'm talking about haha), I feel better already, and I haven't really gotten into things yet!

Anyways, I don't have time to write a whole post on this situation now, but expect a long rambling next week or the week after. :-p It is amazing how blogging about something difficult in my life can make me feel better almost instantly though. Do any of you ever feel that blogging is great "therapy" for issues in your lives? I'm actually really surprised that I didn't feel the need to write about this more before.

One quick question as well: I've been taking tons of pictures here in Vegas of all of the fun stuff that we've been doing, but I wanted to know how you best would enjoy seeing them. Would y'all prefer that I do like two posts with a few highlight pictures from the trip, or several posts for each day with more details on what we did and more pictures? I haven't really done any vacation posts since I started this blog so I want to know what all of you would prefer to read. :-)

We're flying home on Friday so tomorrow is our last day here in Las Vegas! It has been SO HOT outside. It hits over 100 degrees everyday! Check my Instagram and Vine for some things that I've posted from the trip so far. :-) And be sure to check out the two fabulous guest posts that I shared earlier this week!

  2. It's awesome you built up courage to write about these things! Writing can be so therapeutic, but sometimes risky, but I've been learning that being open and being yourself is completely fine on a blog!

I hope you're having a great time in Vegas and enjoying summer! I would love see pictures; I don't prefer any type of post about it, so you can choose how you want to share them! Whatever makes the most sense!

Also, thanks so much for stopping by my blog! I'm loving yours as well and I can't wait to get to know you more. Sounds like we have a lot in common!
