Here are the items that I have fully completed:
4. Be interviewed for the 10 Questions radio personality interview on AllAccess: This technically happened just a few weeks before I published my 101 in 1001 post, but I'd already made my list so I didn't want to change it again! AllAccess is the premiere radio industry website, and they have a feature called 10 Questions where they interview on-air personalities in all types of radio about their jobs. I was featured at the end of last summer- check out my interview here!
21. Send Christmas cards to brands I've worked with one year for my blog: Yes- did this in 2019! It was so much fun to send a little Christmas cheer to the brands and businesses that partnered with me last year. Definitely planning to do this every year going forward.
37. Complete my goal of reading 52 books in a year (one book per week): YES! So proud I did this in 2019.
38. Learn to cook a vegetable dish that I don't hate eating: I tried a new recipe for delicious roasted sweet potatoes this fall... and didn't hate it!
40. Volunteer as an alum with Alpha Delta Pi: I began serving as an advisor to a local chapter of my sorority in November. It's been fun so far, and I'm excited to help with a few events the chapter has coming in April.
41. Do a full weekend away from all social media (blog, work and personal): This is one of the most recent ones I've completed, just did it last weekend.
46. Find a new regular volunteer commitment: In addition to volunteering as an ADPi advisor, I now volunteer weekly at The Ronald McDonald House of Charlottesville as well! RMH does happen to be ADPi's philanthropy, but my volunteer work there is separate from what I do with ADPi locally.
50: Donate blood: I was so scared to do this, but did it successfully for the first time in January!
58. Plan a 2020 girls' weekend with my Charlottesville friends: Just returned from NYC last weekends ago - see the trip recap here.
61. Figure out an awesome gift for my grandma's 95th birthday: I made her a photobook of our special memories from the last decade, and it was a big hit.
67. Go to a UVA sporting event: I got to go to both a football and basketball game back in the fall, and I even had more fun than I thought I would.
69. Go to the Fall Foxfield races: I went to Fall Foxfield with a few girlfriends and coworkers in 2019, glad to check off that Charlottesville rite of passage.
75. Visit a Charlottesville brewery: I went to Hardywood before it closed, and now I've also been to Three Notched!
84. Stay at a new-to-me Richmond hotel: Yes! I had the most fun weekend at The Jefferson Hotel last month- read about it here!
86. Drive the Blue Ridge Parkways during peak foliage: Probably my favorite thing on this list that I've gotten to check off so far- it was more beautiful than I imagined!
88. Apply for Global Entry: Yes! I got this back in October.
I had no idea until I went back over my list this week of how many things I've accomplished in just six months! I'm making a good dent on the Personal and Charlottesville sections. In the next six months, I hope to expand on the Financial, Faith, and Travel goals especially.
God Bless,
xoxo Annaliese
