- Finish my freshman year scrapbook. Unfortunately this didn't happen. :-( I am six pages into the 20 page scrapbook. February was a busy month, and most of my down time was spent lounging around because I was so exhausted from the busy weeks I was having!! I know that I won't be able to finish my scrapbook this month, but it will be back on the April goals list.
- Continue storing my receipts. Check!! My method for receipt storage has been very successful. I tape all of my receipts from the month to the side of my closet, and then at the end of the month I put all of the receipts into a labeled ziplock bag. Storing receipts makes me feel so old and adult like haha, but it's working well.
- Remember to take my vitamins. For the most part- check! I did a really good job of remembering them for most of February. But once Spring Break started... vitamins were forgotten about. I even forgot completely to pack them on my trip. Oops! But for the part of the month that I was at school and on my normal schedule I did well with remembering.
- Plan out an awesome schedule of things to do for when Shara visits! CHECK! I can't wait to start blogging about all of the fun that we had- first blog post about our weekend together will be up tomorrow! We did so much in the six days that she stayed with me, and I even gave her a huge surprise, more on that tomorrow!
And here are my goals for March 2014:
1. Figure out my class schedule for summer AND fall. This is the month when upcoming college course schedules come out at my college, so I need to devote a fair amount of time to planning out my schedule for the upcoming two semesters, and also meet with my advisor to review everything. And yes- I said TWO semesters. I am hoping to be able to stay down here in Charlotte this summer, but that will depend on whether or not I'm able to find enough classes to take this summer for my major and minors. If I am able to do summer school then I will probably be graduating college a semester early! So I'm hoping that my schedules for both this summer and fall work out.
2. Renew my passport. It expires at the end of June, so it's time for a renewal! Because I was a minor when I got my current passport, the renewal process will be a bit more difficult. It's not a fun task, but something that needs to get done, especially with all the traveling that I've done in the past few months!
3. Begin two term papers. Another not so fun goal, but something that has to get done this month! I have two term papers due the second week in April: one for the online class the corresponds with my internship, and one for my sociology class (for my minor). I don't want to procrastinate on them, so my goal is to start both of them before the end of March!
4. Blog Friendships. Through being apart of The Charlotte Social blog network, I have been able to connect with some wonderful Charlotte based bloggers! I haven't been able to make it to any of the monthly Charlotte Social meet-ups so far this year because of my night classes, but I'm hoping to meet-up with at least one or two bloggers this month!! Blog friendships that become real-life friendships are SO awesome, and I want to take advantage of the fact that I live in a city with tons of amazing bloggers! I also want to take the time this month to send e-mails and messages to my blogging friends from around the country.
5. Get everything I need for upcoming ADPi events. I have two big sorority events coming up! Our semi-formal is this weekend, and the big Black Diamond formal event (like a sorority prom) is the first weekend in April! I am so excited for both! Y'all know that I adore getting dressed up and all things girly, so the fact that I get to go to so many formal events was one of the main reasons that I was so excited to join a sorority. I have my dresses for both events (semi's dress was purchased on my trip to England!), as well as my shoes and jewelry, but I there are some makeup items that I need to get for both events, and I also need to buy masks before the end of this week for me and my semi date, since the theme is masquerade!! And who is my semi date? None other then one of my best friends from my former college, my sweet friend Ciera!!
One of the many things that I did over Spring Break was to be Ciera's backstage attendant at the annual talent pagaent that my former college puts on! It was SO much fun- I think I was born to be a pagaent "mom." And Ciera did an amazing job, she placed third out of 14 contestants! Not only is she super smart and a talented musician, but she is one of the kindest and most Godly girls that I know. I'm blessed to have her as a friend, blessed that we've stayed close since I transferred, and even more blessed to have her as my date to semi and Black Diamond! I at first wanted to take a guy as my date to these events, but then I realized that there aren't really any guys that I know right now that I would want as my date, and why would I take a guy I barely know when I could take a best friend?! :-)
Here's to a busy month of March! I never used to like March when I lived in Maine because it is an icky month in the weather department. But here in North Carolina, March is filled with blooming flowers and beautiful weather! Spring is my favorite season, and I can't wait to see all that this Spring has in store.
Spring break re-cap posts start tomorrow so stay tuned!

I hope you have a blast at all of your upcoming events! P.S. - taking guys as dates is overrated!
