Wearing Lilly Pulitzer in Charleston.

After Labor Day, I generally put away some of my warmest weather Lilly Pulitzer pieces. It often stays warm here in the South well into October, but I prefer to start wearing things that are in slightly more fall colors than a lot of my bright and neon colored Lilly. My recent trip to Charleston was a few weeks after Labor Day, but I broke my own rule and brought along one of my new shift dresses from the recent After Party Sale!

Dress {from After Party Sale, very similar here} // Headband {not online, very similar here} // Earrings {similar} // Shoes // Purse //

Before each After Party Sale, I usually reevaluate my current Lilly Pulitzer collection, and see which items I could get the most use out of from buying the sale. This time around, it was dresses! A lot of my Lilly dresses were from college, and I've gone up a dress size since then so a lot of mine didn't fit anymore or were on the tighter end. I planned to buy two new dresses... I ended up getting three! #whoops But I love all three of them and am super excited to wear them all in 2020. Of course, I had to give the Sink or Swim shift a little preview wear in Charleston!

I thought that the bright blue, green and hot pink hues in this dress would be just darling to wear while exploring downtown Charleston! Charleston is definitely one of the most colorful cities in America, and I think Lilly Pulitzer is appropriate to wear here in any season. I ended up wearing this dress on the second day of my trip. I spent the morning exploring with my friend Priyanka, and then I headed to a bridal luncheon for my friend's wedding in the early afternoon. This dress was great for both tourist fun and also for the pre-wedding event!

I actually have a matching baseball cap in Sink or Swim that I bought in the After Party Sale as well, and I also brought that to Charleston as well. I think wearing the hat and dress together might be a little too much for everyday life here in Charlottesville, but it sure worked for a cute tourist look! 😊 I wore them together for exploring and seeing Rainbow Row, but I switched it out for a cute striped headband for these photos and the bridal luncheon.

I'm so excited to keep wearing this dress next spring, and also wear the other two that I purchased in the APS. Have you worn your After Party Sale purchases yet, or are you waiting for warmer weather?

     God Bless,

    xoxo Annaliese
