Afternoon at Glenmore Country Club.

I've lived in Charlottesville for a year and a half now, and I still feel like there are so many new-to-me places to be discovered. For a fairly small city, Charlottesville and Albemarle County sure have a lot to offer! I recently made my first visit to a local country club. My friend Tyler is the Events Manager for Glenmore Country Club, and she invited me out one afternoon a few weeks ago to take some blog photos at her favorite spots indoors and outdoors around the club! I'm finally sharing these photos with you today, and I especially love the dress I wore.

Let's chat about this outfit quickly first! This navy maxi dress is the ideal fall dress! I wore it to church earlier in the day before these photos were taken, and I don't think I've ever received so many compliments in my life on an outfit I wore to church. I swear this dress is even prettier in person than it photographs! I wore it with sandals since it was still quite warm on this day, but you could easily pair it with booties or riding boots as the weather gets chillier.

The Club at Glenmore is a private golf, tennis and social club located in Keswick- the charming small town that borders Charlottesville. There are stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains all over the property. Glenmore's main feature is their stunning 18-hole golf course! I don't play golf myself, but in college I was friends with a few people on the golf team, and since then I've had an appreciation for the sport and for country clubs. Tyler took me out in a golf cart to tour a few of the holes on the Glenmore course- and they're all beautiful! It truly made me wish that I actually could play.

The Glenmore Club main building has been undergoing some large renovations over the last few years. Most of them are finally coming to a close, and the end result is beautiful! They have taken a break from hosting weddings over the last few years while the renovations intensified, but they're now fully open again and ready to host weddings and large-scale events in their beautiful renovated ballroom. I was just blown away when Tyler showed me the event space- I think I was ready to book my own wedding there (even though I am currently single as can be! 😂).

In addition to the renovated ballroom, there are other areas of the main building that have been renovated as well. Some of the photos taken above where shot in the stunning library room! I still can't get over those massive bookshelves... I wish I had a room like that in my home! If I was a member at Glenmore, I would spend every free minute in that room curled up with a book.

As I mentioned above, most of the Glenmore renovations are now complete, and they are open for all different types of large-scale events now! In addition to weddings of all sizes, they're also able to host fundraisers, private parties, business events, and social club meetings. You do not have to be a member of Glenmore to have your wedding there, or another event! If you're local to Cville and interested in hosting something here, my friend Tyler would would love to assist you! You can reach her at: events@glenmorecountryclub.com.

Thanks again Tyler for inviting me out to your workplace for a day of fun and pictures! I'm already excited to visit Glenmore again (and you might have to kick me out of that amazing library room this time...😉📚).

     God Bless,

     xoxo Annaliese
