I am about at the halfway point of my first-ever 101 in 1001 bucket list! Time has already gone by so fast since I first shared my list in September 2019... although I suppose a global pandemic has helped with that. If you haven't heard of a 101 in 1001 before or seen my past posts on it, this is a special type of bucket list, first shared by blogger Mackenzie of Design Darling years ago. It's such a unique way to organize your goals and dreams for the next few years. My last update about mine was my one year update back in September- it's already time today to share an 18 month update!

Here's a look in more detail at the six goals I completed between September 2020 and March 2021:
2. Attend a radio conference - Oh- this one is bittersweet. It was supposed to be in-person for Marc and I. We found out in February that our work was sending us to Chicago for an annual conference called Morning Show Boot Camp, which I've been dying to attend since becoming a morning show host. The conference ended up going virtual, and we still did attend! (Just from my living room in Charlottesville instead of from Chicago.)
6. Revamp my radio website - In addition to my blog, I have a personal portfolio website for my radio career. I used it update it frequently a few years ago when I was trying to leave my job in Vermont... but as soon as I got here to Charlottesville, I kind of forgot about it. My resume info on there was very outdated, as were most of the photos! I gave it a little refresh this fall and I'm happy it's more up-to-date now. (Check it out here if you're curious!)
8. Reach 15k on Instagram organically - This was a goal that for a long time seemed so far away! While I don't blog or use Instagram for my blog solely for the followers... it is still always exciting to hit a milestone. I hit 15k followers in December! Now I'm hoping to get 16k or 17k before my 101 in 1001 ends.
11. Reach a certain pageview goal - January was a great month for the blog! Thanks to my Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale content ranking well on Google, I hit a personal page view goal for the blog this month.
43. Vote in the 2020 presidential election - Civic duty = check! Following my tradition with the 2012 and 2016 elections, I voted early.
51. Visit a dermatologist for a skin check - This has been on my to-do list since college, and I finally did it back in the fall. Although I don't have any spots or moles on my body that I was concerned about being cancerous, I also know that I'm not a professional and with the risk of skin cancer being so high these days, it would be in my best interest just to get a skin check to be safe. It was super easy and quick and I was relived the dermatologist didn't find any problem spots!
75. Go to five wineries in other parts of Virginia (not in the Monticello AVA): This was a fun goal! Obviously I love going to local Charlottesville wineries, but it's been cool to branch out on day trips to other parts of the state and try wineries in other nearby regions. Out of the five I've been to that aren't in the Monticello AVA, Brix & Columns in Harrisonburg and 12 Ridges on the Blue Ridge Parkway were my favorites!
As proud as I am of these seven goals being completed, I am a little sad that I only managed to complete seven in six months. That's only about one a month. 😬 BUT- I also know I need to give myself grace. This list was written six months before the start of the pandemic. Had that not happened, I know I'd have way more checked off by now. So many of the things on this list simply haven't been feasible to even attempt for the past year (*cough* all of the travel ones). Hopefully as the world continues to go a little more back to normal in the next six months, I'll have a little more success with checking some of these off at a faster rate!
God Bless,
xoxo Annaliese
What a great way to keep yourself accountable. Even though you may feel that you only accomplished so little, you actually accomplished a ton. These are such good milestones and I know without the pandemic you wouldn't even need this list because you would have attained all of them. Keep up the great work and kudos on reaching 15K on IG.
