Finding the Joy in Winter Fashion.

Happy Monday! Being honest for a second? This month I've been finding myself feeling pretty uninspired fashion-wise. January has been a brutally cold month here in Virginia, and by this time in the winter, I find it's usually hard to stay creative with fashion. I'm challenging myself for the rest of the cold weather to step it up with my outfits, and still enjoy the looks that I put together!

I think that pale pink is a beautiful hue to wear in the winter. I always called this color baby pink, I guess now this would be millennial pink? Haha. Anyways, I love it and think it adds a soft and lovely pop of color to winter style! This blazer has become a staple in my closet in recent months. While I do love wearing it on weekdays for everyday outfits, I have to add as well that it's perfect to wear to baby showers for a little girl!! I wore it to a friend's baby shower this fall, and it was a great way to incorporate pink into my look.

I also love this lace top! The bell sleeves, detailing in the lace, and bow detail make it both fun and feminine. It's very lightweight, so it will be easy to transition for spring looks. I finished off this look with a favorite pair of distressed skinny jeans, tan booties, and some fun statement earrings! Wearing this outfit made me feel chic and confident in my style, which is honestly something that I haven't felt with a lot of my everyday winter outfits this year! I'm going to keep working on my challenge to myself of putting more effort into my winter outfits- I hope that everything else I wear for the remainder of the season brings me as much joy as this look did!

Hope that you're having a good Monday and start to the week! I had a wonderful weekend here in Charlottesville- one of my sorority sisters from college came up to visit.  I love hosting friends on the weekends, as it's always an excuse to play tourist in my city, and eat at some of my favorite places!

     God Bless,

     xoxo Annaliese

  5. Love that gorgeous pink coat! I don't really enjoy much Winter clothing, which is why I allow myself to spend a little more on pretty coats and sweaters that will keep me warm AND look good. They're worth every penny!

  6. That lace top is gorgeous -- it looks so pretty with both coats, but the pink one is my favorite!

  7. That white blouse is gorgeous! It's been so hard to find joy in winter fashion since all I want to wear are sweatpants and a hoodie since the weather has been so dang cold here.

  9. Winter temps definitely make it harder to put together cute outfits, especially if your #1 goal is to stay warm (which is always me!) But I love these looks!

  11. You can simply envision how ladies have been so conceited in their waistline as of now. The unstable lines came after the 1908, gone are the cumbersome trivial coats underneath the pieces of clothing.
