Ramblings:
- Solar Eclipse madness: Vermont only experienced 60% coverage in Monday's Eclipse, but I still wanted to enjoy it as much as I could! My dad has been here visiting this week, and since we didn't have glasses, we attended a free event at a library in Burlington, where they provided glasses that everyone could share. There was a huge turnout for the event, at least a few hundred people there! It was so cool to get to see the Eclipse firsthand, but even more amazingly for me was to see so many Vermonters all come together (irregardless of the things that are dividing the country right now) to witness something amazing. Everyone was together in this large, big group, all fascinated on something bigger than ourselves. It was really quite beautiful. And fun to have my dad there with me (he got very into it, haha!).
- Last Monday off: My schedule at work is changing soon and I am so excited! Starting next week, I will consistently have Sundays off instead of Mondays! This week was my last Monday off. In addition to attending the Eclipse party, my dad and I also went kayaking in the morning on Lake Champlain! I haven't had the chance to kayak yet since moving to Vermont, and it was a beautiful way to spend my last free Monday.
- The cutest dog video: A fun fact about me is that I love Boston Terriers- they are my favorite dog breed! During my senior year of college, I nannied for a little girl a few days a week, and her family had one. I didn't like or know what to make of the dog when I started working for the family, but by the end of my time with them I had fallen in love with him! I think Bostons are just the cutest and funniest little things. I really want to get one once I finish paying off broadcasting school. Anyways- this is the cutest video of Boston Terriers- I guarantee it'll make your day!
Purchases:
- Since coming back from my weekend home to Maine, work has been nuts so I haven't had much time to even think about shopping! My dad and I did make a TJ Maxx run this week though, and I found the world's cutest accessory for my desk at work! I found the same one here online!
Wishlist:
- It might be in the 80s and sunny in Vermont this week... but winter will be here soon! Ugh. I'm already thinking about expanding my sweater collection- this one would be pretty for the cool months!
- The cutest work blouse ever! And it's from a store that we still have in Vermont... since I moved here, there have been a lot of retail closures in the area. (And there were already few stores to begin here!) But we do have this retailer!
- This adorable fall skirt kind of reminds me of my favorite J. Crew Factory fall skirt that I've had for a few years, but it's at a cheaper price point and I love the bow and buttons on this one!
- If you're lucky to be heading somewhere warm for Labor Day Weekend, this is a really cute dress!
Wishing you all a wonderful week! Can't wait to share about my exciting work updates soon!
God Bless,
xoxo Annaliese (or Charlotte XO on the radio!)
Ah, I need to make TJMaxx run ASAP! I'm in desperate need of a rug and some dining room chairs - hoping I can score some goodies this weekend!

I love dog videos. The one with the puppy boots was my favorite. He was so uncomfortable hahaha
ReplyDeleteI love that olive skirt from Shein. Can't wait to start shopping for fall soon! XO, Nicole // www.nicolecoppins.com
ReplyDeleteSo excited for fall pieces to start popping up! And we also only have about 75% coverage for the eclipse, but it was still so cool to see!
ReplyDeleteWatched the entire dog video and I am obsessed! So cute. The best part is when the baby is giggling. Made my morning! xx
ReplyDeleteI felt the same way about the eclipse - it was so refreshing seeing everyone come together, despite how divided the country might be right now, and find amazement in the same thing. such a cool experience no matter how much of it you could see! x, nicole // www.nicoleeigh.com
ReplyDeleteDon't even talk about winter yet, haha! I love sweaters, but can't stand the season itself. Glad you were able to watch the eclipse with your dad!
ReplyDeleteAhh that stapler is so cute! I'm redoing my desk area and that would fit perfectly haha.
ReplyDeleteYou are only going to have Sundays free?! I don’t know how you do it!!! Ahhh that’s so cool you could attend the library event and that they provided glasses!
ReplyDeleteThose pants are so cute!! Glad you had great week.
ReplyDeleteI'm bsessed with those pants. Yes! Even though I was working, I got to enjoy the solar eclipse for a little bit. It was really neat! It's awesome that for a moment, everyone was just looking up at the sum and not worrying about anything else.
ReplyDeleteThose Lilly pants tho...OBSESSED. I need those!!
