Hot Pink Wedding Guest Dress.

Mondays are better then they involve something hot pink, right?! I saw this fun hot pink peplum dress while browsing online last month, and I knew I wanted to style it as a wedding guest dress option for a fun summer wedding. I'm also sharing a few of my my favorite places to find semi-formal and formal dresses at, so that you'll be all set for dress shopping for any weddings or other events later this summer.

I think a summer wedding is a great excuse to wear a bold color that you might not normally wear on weekdays! Granted- I wear hot pink on all weekdays and for all occasions 😉, but either way it still makes a great wedding guest dress option. Other bold colors that would be perfect are turquoise, bright green, yellow, royal blue, red, purple... let the rainbow be your inspiration!

The quality of this peplum dress that I'm wearing was better than I expected it to be! The one thing I wish the dress had was adjustable straps. It was a tad long on me (I kept trying to pull it up before each photo was taken!), so I think I'm going to try to get the straps taken in a little bit this summer. I'm wearing my usual Shein size M, and I think minus the straps it fit great!

If you're headed to any weddings later this summer (or any time of year!), here are my favorite stores for finding semi-formal and formal dresses at:

*Shein - That's where this dress is from! They've really stepped up their game for quality on some of their sundresses and cocktail dresses. I personally wouldn't purchase anything too formal looking from here (probably not the best destination for a high quality black tie dress), but if you want to spend under $30 on something cute to wear to a wedding, this is your destination!

*Chicwish - Another online only retailer, but with higher quality and price points than Shein. They have very feminine and vintage feeling dresses, and many would be perfect to wear to summer weddings! Similarly to Shein, their sizing runs very small. I always order size M from both Shein and Chicwish.

*Dillard's - I think that Dillard's carries an exceptional selection in their dress department! Definitely my favorite department store to visit when I need a dress. They often have great clearance sections on dresses as well. Speaking of Dillard's Clearance... if you're lucky enough to live near one of their Clearance Store locations- GO! They opened one last year in Gastonia, NC (just outside of Charlotte), and when I visited I scored two wedding appropriate cocktail dresses for under $60 (for both!).

*Belk - Another one of my favorite department stores!! Belk is a Southern department store with its flagship store based in Charlotte, NC. They carry a variety of popular department store brands, and some great house brands as well. I've enjoyed buying formal dresses for various occasions here over the years.

*Ross - I think that Ross is a very underrated place to shop for dresses at, and there are definitely gems to be found here! While it is very hit or miss depending on which Ross you go to and what their current selections are, there are definitely formal dress gems to be found here.

*Rent the Runway - I actually haven't personally used this myself yet, but many of my friends swear by it as an easy way to wear a dress that might be out of your normal budget to a wedding or other event!

Are you headed to a lot of weddings for the rest of the year? I have two more on my calendar! I have several friends that are in serious relationships, so I feel like wedding guest craziness will probably really hit for me in a year or two, but I'm ready for it!!
