Ramblings:

  • Golf update: It's now been almost three weeks since I started golf lessons. I am absolutely loving it so far! I wish I had started this years ago, but hey- it's never too late! I am taking private lessons with a golf pro at one of the local courses, and I've also been checking out different driving ranges to practice. I am so excited to keep learning more and eventually being able to play rounds with friends. Golf is very difficult, but I see it as a fun challenge! Let this be your reminder to finally do or learn the thing that you've been dreaming about!
  • Busy weekends ahead: My trip to Atlanta this past weekend kicked off what will be 7 upcoming very busy weekends. I will be out of town for five, and have two weekends of company visiting Virginia Beach. I didn't intend to have so many busy weekends all back-to-back, but it's just how it worked out and I am excited! For my first 6 months in Virginia Beach, I really tried to be here as much as possible on the weekends to focus on settling in to my new home and making new friends. I'm really thankful that I did that, but now excited for a bunch of different types of weekends!

Weekend recaps:

  • Last weekend: I finally got to head to Atlanta to visit my friend Cara! It was so nice to see Cara's new home and spend more time with her and her husband TJ. I had only been to Atlanta once prior in college, and that trip was super quick. It was nice to be able to explore more of the city and the suburbs this weekend!
  • This weekend: A busy weekend! The agenda includes hopefully getting out to a driving range to practice golf, a Junior League friend's birthday party, and a day trip to Richmond to meet up with my friend Emily from Charlottesville! I haven't seen Emily since I moved, so I'm really looking forward to it.

Purchases:

  • Forgot to share a couple purchases from boutique shopping in downtown Edenton NC a couple weekends ago!! I went down for a day trip to see my aunt and uncle, and my aunt and I did some shopping. First- I got this gorgeous multi-color warm weather blouse!! Absolutely obsessed with the colors!
  • And I also grabbed this gorgeous floral midi dress. The colors and print are so me. I can't wait to dress it down for work and dress it up on weekends!

Wishlist:

  • The most darling gingham blazer (styled here by Angela from Thrifty Pineapple!)
  • I love these bright green dress pants- what a fun way to brighten up spring outfits for work or church!
  • For my fellow Sweet Magnolias fans- these stickers are too cute (and they're under $10!).
  • These jeans are not my typical wash or style, but they're super trendy and I kind of want to give them a try and get out of my comfort zone?! They're also on sale!
  • Nothing more classic than pink and green Lilly Pulitzer! How cute is this tunic dress for spring?

Currently reading: Under Construction: Because Living My Best Life Took a Little Work by Chrishell Stause - Chrishell has become one of my favorite female celebrities over the past couple years! I'm a big Selling Sunset fan on Netflix, and she's by far my favorite. I was so excited to read her book! I pre-ordered it and got it in the mail a few weeks ago, but I had been saving it for my trip this weekend. Chrishell's book was a fun and quick read! Her positive spirit really comes through in her writing.

Recipe of the week: Bulgogi Pork Tenderloin from Hello Fresh - My all-time favorite Hello Fresh recipe!! I always try to order a Hello Fresh box when this is on the menu. I think this is the most delicious way to eat a pork tenderloin ever! I love that Hello Fresh provides recipes for free on their website- you don't need to subscribe to enjoy using their recipes.

Song of the week: Beg For You by Charli XCX ft. Rita Sawayama - I love any dance-pop songs with European vibes. And I love them even more when they sample older Eurodance songs!! This new Charli XCX song samples Cry For You by September, another song I love.

Favorite blog posts of the week:

  • Style Charade - Jenn has the most unique collection of Kate Spade novelty purses, and I loved seeing her favorites and her tips for buying them.
  • The Stripe - Grace shared some great tips for starting to build a fine jewelry collection, and a few must-have pieces to save up for.
  • Everyday Parisian - I am dying to go to Paris at some point soon-ish. Rebecca wrote the most helpful post about the best places to enjoy the view of the sparkling Eiffel Tower at night!

On the blog this week:

      God Bless,
