Red, White and Blue Outfit - Not Just For July 4th!

     Hello and happy Monday! I'm back in Virginia from visiting my parents in Maine- let's just say my 3:30am alarm for work felt extra early today. But it's good to get back in the swing of things! Let's kick off this week with a summer outfit post- I gotta share my last few summer outfits soon because fall will be here before we know it.

     This has got to be one of my favorite casual outfits of this whole summer! I ordered this red top in June, and it was one of those purchases where I thought it looked great on the model online but wasn't sure how it would look on me in person. Fortunately- it was better than I expected! It's also super lightweight, which makes it a great summer top option.

    I got a denim mini skirt last summer and I've still been wearing it nonstop this year. It's a little on the short side for me to wear to work, but I wear it all the time on weekends! And in a normal non-COVID summer, I'd be wearing it even more for going out downtown with friends and doing more group activities. (Ah- remember those days?)

    And finally- my sneakers! Oh my word y'all. I am so in love with these sneakers that I am 99% sure they'll get their own dedicated blog post sometime in the next few weeks. But for now- just know that if you're looking for a super comfortable, cute and affordable white sneaker- these are it for sure! Run don't walk to get yourself a pair.

     Red, white and blue is such a fun color combination to wear and definitely not just for July 4th! It's definitely been a tough year here so far in the US- between the pandemic, tense election year and all of the racial tensions and protests. I don't like to talk politics on the blog, but I will say that I am hopeful that all the hardships this year will lead to a better and kinder America in the future, and hopefully more conversation and less division between those of differing views. I'll be happily rocking my red, white and blue style not only for the rest of this year, but for years to come. And let's please all cross our fingers that next 4th of July we might not be wearing face masks anymore! 😉
