Ramblings:
- Spontaneous Weekend Trip: This weekend, a new girlfriend from my church and I ventured across Lake Champlain and into the Adirondack Mountains of New York, for a little trip to the Olympic Village of Lake Placid! Lake Placid is only about two hours from Burlington, and was the home to two different Winter Olympics. We were hoping to see some of the Olympic sights... unfortunately, there was a large Ironman triathlon happening in the downtown while we were there, so everything Olympics related was closed in honor of that. Goes to show that a little planning can be useful for spontaneous trips! We were still able to make the best of things and have fun- I'm happy to share a mini Lake Placid travel guide soon on the blog!
- Fall Routine: Now that I am finally starting to settle into my new hours at work, I am beginning to settle into somewhat of a new routine. I don't go to work until 11-11:30 now, so I have my mornings free. Next week I'm planning to start going to the gym a couple mornings a week, and focusing on cleaning/apartment tasks/blogging backend work during the other mornings. I am able to be most productive when I stick to a schedule. My bible study and favorite Fall TV shows also come back later this month, and I'm ready for both of those things!
- Meh Week: With that said above- I have felt a bit off-schedule and out of my groove for the past couple of weeks. I'm not sure if it's the changing of seasons, a change in work hours/responsibilities, the fact I didn't have a great birthday this year... or a variety of all of these. I've gotten out of my earlier bedtime schedule, and also just been all around feeling less productive at home. It's kind of been a tough few weeks in all honesty, and I'm hoping that next week with focusing on productivity and positivity, my mood will improve! Has anyone else been feeling all around kind of weird lately?
Purchases:
- I actually didn't buy anything this week (don't even think I went grocery shopping...) Minus my weekend in Lake Placid, it wasn't a very exciting work week- haha!
Wishlist:
- The ideal casual top for fall and winter! I think this would look really cute with a statement necklace or blanket scarf, and it comes in a few colors.
- I haven't bought a lot of makeup this year, as I been receiving more to test from PR gifts, and also been trying to use up products that I already had! But when browsing Ulta's website recently I came across this palette- I think it would be great for work makeup looks, just enough shimmer and color for the office!
- I've been trying to decorate my apartment for fall in the last week or two. I recently went to a few local stores to look at fall wreaths... but I was shocked by how expensive wreaths are! That might be something that I go without for this fall season- haha. While browsing online for inspiration I fell in love with this one though- I think it looks so Southern!
- I love this color green for fall for a top- so chic! And the price on this is not bad at all.
- Florals don't have to be just for summer! This dress is stunning for fall.
On the blog this week:
Here's to having a happier and more exciting rest of the week! Sorry if today's post wasn't too exciting... but I always strive to be honest here on the blog, and truth be told not all weeks are super exciting. 😊
God Bless,
xoxo Annaliese (or Charlotte XO on-air!)
I haven't purchased any makeup in awhile too -- but Ulta's deals are starting to get to me, I might give in.

You're so right, wreaths are SO expensive! We have double doors on our home, so we have to have double wreaths, which means double the cost. I highly suggest looking at stores like Big Lots (even better if you can wait until the end of the season) they always have really good deals!

I always have good intentions to decorate for fall and then I never do. Maybe I'll DIY a wreath this weekend while my husband is out of town, because yes - too expensive!
