Tassel Steal.

     Yesterday evening my parents took me out for an early 21st birthday dinner! My birthday always falls a couple weeks after college starts, so the past three years I have never been able to celebrate with my family, since I go to school out-of-state. (I have definitely had some "interesting" birthdays so far in college... but hopefully this year's will be much better since I'll be on a Girls' Weekend trip to the beach for my 21st! More on that to come. :-) ) 

     I decided to wear this pretty blue dress to dinner! The last two years, both of my birthday dresses have been blue. Tiffany Blue and sky blue are two of my favorite colors, so it's no surprise that I always drift back to this shade for my birthday! (Check out my birthday/blogiversary blog posts from 2013 and 2014!) This dress is so flattering to wear- just putting it on makes me feel like an absolute bombshell, and I felt that way even before doing my hair and make-up! Shouldn't all dresses make a girl feel like that?! As darling as this dress is, it's actually not my birthday dress for this year (I will be mixing it up and wearing a different color this year!),  but instead is a dress that I had to buy for my sorority's Fall Recruitment which is coming up soon!      And lastly, I want to be sure to talk about my tassel earrings! I'm obsessed! Tassels are so on-trend right now, and I've been looking for a great pair all summer. I did fall in love with some slightly pricier pairs online, but before I made the splurge, I decided to stop by my favorite hometown jewelry boutique before one of my shifts at work last week. I'm so glad I did, because these gorgeous earrings were only $3!! Yes, $3! Sadly my favorite jewelry store here in Maine doesn't have an online marketplace so I can't link them, but I do want to encourage y'all to shop local when you have the chance! I love my favorite mall stores and national brands just as much as the next gal, but it's great to be able to shop locally in your community sometimes, especially when the deals are that amazing!
