I guess that I do wear my fair share of sweater dresses during the fall and winter seasons, but I actually don't really like shopping for them! Everytime that I buy a sweater dress, I just think about how I would rather be using my money to buy a sundress for warmer weather... see where this is going? Haha! I also think that so many sweater dresses tend to look very similar, and it's hard to find unique looks.
Enter this gorgeous sweater dress from Forever 21. It actually has a unique story behind it! A little over a year ago, I found almost the same exact dress in a Forever 21 store here in Charlotte, tried it on, and loved it. I even took a picture on my phone! But I didn't end up buying it because it was priced at $37.99, which I thought was a little expensive for Forever 21.
Fast forward to one year later, when I was at home in Maine this past October for Fall Break. One of the nights that I was home I went to the Maine Mall with two of my best friends. We went to Forever 21 (there's a surprisingly good one at home), and low and behold, I found almost the same sweater dress! I tried it on again and fell event more in love. Sadly the price hadn't changed at all, but I decided that I had to get it. It takes a lot for me to love a sweater dress, and I am just obsessed with the fun graphic print on this one! (The material is also so soft and comfortable, yet still form-fitting and flattering.)
I actually took these pictures for this post a couple of weeks ago (with my friend Olivia from Olivia Miller Photography on my beautiful college campus!). It was still warmer then, but this dress is something that could definitely be transitioned as the weather continues to get colder. I would love to pair it with a fancy winter coat, a cute pair of tights, and some nice dark heels for a dressy winter outfit.
In other unrelated news to this outfit, I would appreciate any prayers for my day tomorrow! I have two presentations to present in two seperate communications classes, as well as a huge French test. It isn't even Finals yet and I don't know how it is possible to have a day this busy and this stressful, but somehow it has happened. I am very nervous about doing well on everything, so I am going to try and get a good night's sleep tonight!

Good luck with all of your work before break! I'll be praying that everything goes smoothly and you are able to remain calm. I have yet to find a sweater dress I love that I can wear to work. I need to put it on my list as something I need to hunt for.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with all of your work! I know with me, the last few weeks before the end of school are almost always more stressful than finals week in itself. Also, this sweater dress looks amazing on you-good choice of buying it!
