101 in 1001: 18 Month Update

      I can't believe I'm 18 months into my current 101 in 1001 list! There's been some great list items that I've been able to cross off in the last six months that I am so excited to recap today. The 101 in 1001 is a type of bucket list created by blogger Mackenzie Horan from Design Darling. You try to hit 101 goals in various categories of your choosing in 1001 days! I'm now on my second 101 in 1001 list, and love doing these.

7. Be interviewed by an industry publication or podcast about my career - I was honored to be named one of Radio Ink Magazine's 30 Under 30 Radio Superstars in 2023! (Also my last year of age eligibility!) I was featured in their article recapping all 30 nominees. 

15. Write a blog post about how I met Ryan / our relationship story - I finally did this last month! You can read it here. I wanted to have this post done before I made our wedding website, so that I could link to it for guests to enjoy. 

22. Become involved in a church in Virginia Beach (volunteering or joining a bible study) - We finally joined a small group at our church with other 20s/30s somethings. While we aren't always consistent with attending the weekend meetings due to my busy work and travel schedule, we always go when we can! It's been fun to start building friendships at our church.

25. Take Ryan to Charlotte - This was a long time coming, but I finally took Ryan to my favorite city in January 2024! We had a wonderful weekend in Charlotte that went by way too quickly. 

33. Get engaged - I still cannot believe this happened last November!! I was so convinced Ryan would wait to propose until around now. Here is our proposal story!

34. Have wedding date set or be married by the time this list ends - We are getting married in November 2024, and we set our date a few months ago back in January! 

54. Lease another new vehicle or buy out my current lease - I bought out my 2021 leased vehicle in March last month. I wanted to lease again, but the market just isn't favorable right now for new leases.

62. Host my annual Favorite Things Swap Christmas Party in 2023 - Yes! And it was the biggest and best one yet! 

77. Visit the Outer Banks, NC again - Yes... but not in the summertime and not for an overnight trip. Ryan and I made a day trip to the Outer Banks during Thanksgiving Weekend to visit some family of his that has a tradition renting a beach house down there for Thanksgiving. 

78. Visit Raleigh, NC again - Ryan and I had a fun 24 hour trip to Raleigh in January for a hockey game! We also enjoyed shopping at a mall there and checking out the science museum. 

90. Go to a Norfolk Admirals hockey game - Ryan and I went to our first admirals game in November 2023. It was fun and we would definitely go to one again.

91. Eat or drink at the Glass Light Hotel in Norfolk - My friend Bri and I grabbed drinks and an app at their lobby bar before I had a work event in Norfolk last fall. Their bar and restaurant area has such a fun boutique hotel vibe! 

     The next time I share one of these updates, I'll be just about a month or so away from our wedding! How crazy is that?! Here's to the next six months and the adventures it will bring!
