HCBN North Carolina Blogging Meet-up: January.

The first weekend that I was back in North Carolina for this semester, I had big plans! :-) I packed the backseat of my car to the brim (literally!) with outfits, my laptop, and camera, and headed up to the Triad region for the day to have a blogging meet-up with two of my favorite fellow NC collegiate bloggers!

I have been involved with the Her Campus Blogging Network for almost two years now, and I was very excited this fall when Her Campus named me their Regional Chair for the blogging network for the Western half of North Carolina (and Northern South Carolina)! Lots of great HCBN bloggers live in this region, and I couldn't wait to plan some fun blogging meet-ups.

Due to my own crazy schedule and the difficulty in schedule meet-ups when everyone lives in different parts of the Carolinas, I wasn't able to host my first meet-up until January. Originally about seven bloggers RSVPd, but as it ended up being during Martin Luther King weekend (which is a long weekend at most colleges), only Cara and Gina ended up being able to make it. But the three of us had the most wonderful time! I have attended several blogging meet-ups before, and was a co-planner for one this summer (#BloggersTakeBoston), but have never planned one completely on my own, so I was excited!

We started by meeting for lunch and enjoyed some delicious Italian food. Next we did lots of window shopping (and Cara stopped by Sephora for her annual free birthday gift!), and then once the natural light had faded a little bit we set out to do what bloggers do best: blogging pictures!!

After each of us got a few outfits styled and shot (including my Gossip Girl inspired outfit from yesterday's post!), we ended our night at the most delicious cupcake bakery. At this point it felt like we had all been friends forever!! And of course, a stereotypical blogger meet-up picture had to be taken. ;-)

I am so happy that I had the chance to meet-up with these two sweet girls! It was so much fun to chat not only about blogging, but also about college life and why we all love the beautiful state of North Carolina. And plus- it's always great to spend a whole day with girls who have absolutely no judgement when you pull up with you car literally stuffed with outfit options! OR girls that share your passion for taking jumping photos.

If you are a blogger who is college-aged (or fresh out of college) and are not in the Her Campus Blogging Network, feel free to ask me any questions about joining!! Even better if you live in NC or SC as you might end up in my regional group! :-)
