Dinner Party for The Masters: Tablescape + Menu Ideas ⛳️

I recently hosted the most darling Masters themed dinner party, and I'm so excited to recap it here on the blog! I am obsessed with anything to do with this iconic golf tournament, and I loved coordinating all of the little touches to bring this party theme to life. I'm sharing all of the details below!

Last year, I hosted a Masters Saturday casual luncheon and viewing party in our former apartment for some of my girlfriends. While that party turned out very cute and it was fun, I realized that since my husband Ryan and I both genuinely love watching the Masters in great detail, I would prefer not to host anyone during the actual tournament in years to come. But with that said- I still very much wanted to do a Masters related party, since I love the them! A couple of  months ago, I thought of the idea to host a Masters themed dinner party a couple of weeks before the Masters itself. I could still invite my guests to dress in Masters inspired attire and do a themed tablescape and menu, but then Ryan and I could enjoy the actual tournament a few weeks later just us at home. Win win!

My friend Cara had been wanting to visit our new house this spring, so it worked out perfectly for her to visit a couple weekends before the Masters, and to help me co-host this dinner party! Cara had met the majority of my local friends at my bridal shower and bachelorette party a couple of years ago, so she was also looking forward some of those same friends as dinner party guests.

Almost all of the party decor was from either Dollar Tree or Amazon. I wanted to have an affordable but chic tablescape and party set-up, and I think I was able to achieve that! I love how Cara and I were able to set everything up, the finished result made me so happy.

The hydrangea glasses pictured just below, clear glasses on the table, and lemon dinner plates were all from Dollar Tree. The white tablecloth, green plaid table runner, and green and yellow banner were all Amazon. The bud vases are Amazon as well, but were leftover from my own wedding reception! The green napkins were a HomeSense find the day of the party, and the pink and green golf coasters were a sweet gift from a friend last year. I'll talk more about the dinner menus I printed below!

Cara suggested that I design and print a menu for this dinner party, and I loved her suggestion! I feel like I figured out the ultimate life hack for printing party menus affordably. Did you know that CVS offers matte photo paper (in addition to their traditional glossy prints)? It seems like they're always running good sales on printing photos in their app, so I was able to print seven menus for just $1.50 on their matte photo paper! So much cheaper than printing on cardstock. I designed the menu in Canva!

At first I was a bit unsure what to serve for an evening Masters themed party. A lot of the traditional Augusta National foods (like chicken salad sandwiches and potato chips) I associate more with lunch meals than dinner. But I'm pleased with what I was able to come up with, which you can see below. We served the official Masters cocktail, The Azalea! (As well as peached iced tea for a non-alcoholic option). Dinner was the Augusta inspired Green Jacket Salad, BBQ pork sandwiches from my slow cooker, and my favorite homemade mac n' cheese recipe from Chrissy Teigen's first cookbook. Cara also prepared a lovely cheese board!

I also decided to outsource dessert, which was a great decision! One of my guests brought chocolate chip cookies, and I ordered a green and yellow themed cake from Publix. This allowed Cara and I much more time to focus on the actual dinner menu and decorating! Win win.

This dinner party was a huge success. The menu and decor turned out wonderfully, and it was so fun to kick off Masters season and get back in the spirit of things with some of my girlfriends! I invited everyone to wear their best Augusta inspired outfits. (My dress was an Amazon find!)

I'm hoping this dinner party is the first of a new tradition unlike any other! 😉Happy Masters celebrating!

Below are some affordable Masters inspired party and hosting picks! I own a few of these items enjoyed using them for this year's dinner party.

      God Bless,

      xoxo Annaliese
