For the past couple of months, I've been doing a fun partnership on Instagram with a clothing rental company called Armoire. I realized recently that while I share updates about using Armoire on Instagram weekly, I hadn't shared much on the blog yet! Armoire has been the first clothing rental service that I've ever tried, and I have really enjoyed using it so far. And make sure to read until the end- I have a great discount code with two special offers for you to try Armoire!

Armoire is a female-founded women's clothing rental subscription service that's based out of Seattle, WA. Their target customer is an ambitious career woman, who is looking for the perfect mix of classic and trendy pieces each month to wear for work, weekends, and beyond. Armoire wants to help women wear the best clothing and keep their closets fresh and updated, but in a way that is both sustainable and affordable! They have thousands of great outfit pieces for all sorts of workplace dress codes: everything from very casual to business formal. In addition, they also stock some fun and trendy pieces that are perfect for weekend attire or special events.
Armoire carries many popular brands and designers, with new arrivals dropping weekly on their website and app. What types of brands can you expect to see on Armoire? Well for starters- they have a great selection of Lilly Pulitzer! 😊 So far I've also enjoyed renting pieces from brands like French Connection, Adrianna Pappell, Tuckernuck, Faherty, and other great brands.
What drew me to trying out Armoire and partnering with them for the past few months? Honestly, I feel like utilizing a clothing rental service is such a good fit (pun intended!) for my current season of life. I currently wear a uniform for my current job at the hotel. While I am actively job hunting, I'm not yet sure what the dress code will be at whatever job I find next. Therefore it doesn't make sense to invest in a certain type of new work wardrobe yet, since I'm not sure if that will be beneficial or not! I could end up in a more formal workplace, or a very casual one like I had during my previous radio career.
This has also been a great way for me to try out some new or out of my comfort zone trends that I wouldn't normally try. For example, in last month's case I tried a pair of very wide leg jeans! They ended up not being my favorite as a longterm closet addition, but they were fun to try for a time. I'm so glad I used Armoire to see if I like this trend or not, vs. buying an expensive pair of jeans that I'd only wear once or twice and then never again!
Armoire has provided me with a way to still freshen up my wardrobe each month and try fun and new things, but without commitment to buying too many clothes or spending a ton of money! It's been nice to have some new pieces for my Florida trip in February, and smaller occasions like our annual Valentine's date night, hosting my first Masters viewing party, and some spring plans in Virginia Beach with girlfriends.
Here's some of my favorite Armoire rented looks so far:

Here's the basics for how Armoire works:
- Select a monthly membership tier that fits your needs and budget. They currently offer a 4-item plan, 7-item plan, or an unlimited plan. (Armoire doesn't offer one-time one item clothing rentals.)
- All Armoire plans include free + fast shipping (and a free return label to send the clothes back when you're ready for your next rental case), free cleaning of the clothes, and access to Armoire's free personal styling service! You always have access to either live-chat or email with an Armoire styling professional for free styling advice.
- Fall in love with an item from your monthly rentals? You can purchase that item at a discount! I did that with a blouse from my first Armoire case, and I've been loving wearing it regularly since.
What happens if you get an item in your monthly case that doesn't fit you as expected, or isn't up to quality standards? For new-with-tag items (which I have gotten a lot of, so cool to be the first to rent something!) or almost-new items, if it doesn't fit well you do unfortunately have to keep that item until your next case, unless you're on the unlimited plan. But if there is ever a quality issue on Armoire's end with the care of a garment, their customer service team is wonderful. This past month, I received a Lilly Pulitzer item that had clearly been dry cleaned and was fitting me way smaller than the numeric size indicated (and you know that I'm very familiar with Lilly Pulitzer sizing!). I reached out to Armoire, and immediately was given an extra bonus item for my next case to compensate for this specific garment shrinking in the dry cleaning process. And for the most part, I haven't had sizing issues with most items! Just make sure you know the sizing charts for the various brands you're renting from, and you should be good to go.
I've really enjoyed partnering on Instagram the past few months with Armoire and I've been so thankful for the opportunity! I really do enjoy the service and would recommend it. It's truly perfect for this transitional stage of my life.
Be sure to use my code miss_alk for 50% off your first month trying Armoire, plus two bonus items in your first case! It's the best deal you'll find!
God Bless,
xoxo Annaliese
