I'm so excited to share all the info about the beautiful beach rental home that myself and my bridal party got to stay in for my wedding weekend! It was an honor to continue a partnership with local short-term property rental group Transcendent Stays. If you have any upcoming travel plans to the Virginia Beach area, or you yourself are a fellow bride getting married in the area, you'll want all the info about this beautiful beach rental home, which is available to rent year-round!
Shout-out to my five bridal party memories who joined in for the photos in today's blog post, as well as my dear blogging friend Gentry! She came to Virginia Beach for our wedding, and it was a joy to have her join in for this fun photoshoot the day before the wedding. 😊

Transcendent Stays is a locally owned short-term property rental group within the Virginia Beach area. They rent everything from boutique inn-style rooms to apartments to larger homes. Last winter I actually had the pleasure of staying in their
Cape Henry apartment property with my matron-of-honor Caroline! But the crown jewel of the short-term beach rental homes by Transcendent Stays is definitely
Bayberry House. It's a stunning six bedroom, three and a half bathroom short-term rental property that was recently renovated and redesigned just a couple of years ago. It's steps away from the beach, and is located right where the Chesapeake Bay meets the Atlantic Ocean, which is such a unique part of Virginia Beach! Neighborhood-wise, it's where North End and Shore Dr. neighborhoods meet.
Bayberry House is incredibly spacious, and perfect for a wedding weekend group! Myself and my bridal party truly made the most of the space. We used the spacious kitchen for mixing mimosas and snacking. The dining table area was great space-wise and natural light-wise for the hairstyling team on the wedding day to set up shop to do everyone's hair. We used the cozy living room area the night before the wedding for the girls to throw me a lingerie shower. And everyone loved having their own bedroom and space to themselves during the weekend, since wedding weekends can certainly be stressful and busy.
Each area of the house is so expertly designed, with special touches for guests to enjoy. A few touches I really enjoyed were the separate wine fridge, and the built in library reading nook, pictured below.
There is also a stunning private outdoor pool and hot tub at Bayberry House! While it was too cold in November to use the pool, and we didn't have time to utilize the hot tub with all of the wedding festivities, I love that the house includes both for guests to enjoy.
I stayed the night before my wedding in the master suite, which takes up the majority of the top floor of Bayberry House. There couldn't have been a bedroom more perfect for getting ready on your wedding day! The natural light in the room is phenomenal, and it's so spacious and airy. Truly the perfect room for taking photos with your bridal party!!
I also
adored the master bathroom at Bayberry House. It is gigantic! Probably the largest bathroom in a house that I've ever seen. I shared previously that
I did my own makeup for my wedding, and I loved having such a well-lit and large space to get ready in on my special day.
One of my absolute favorite things about my wedding weekend was having my bridal party get to stay with me in gorgeous house. It was truly such a gift! Being able to all wake up together on the wedding day morning was the best. (Versus the alternative of having the girls staying in various places all over town and all having to rush over to wherever I was getting ready.) A beautiful beach house like Bayberry House would also be great for an extended family group that was all traveling together to a wedding or other special event!
I love the pictures below of me changing into my dress in the stunning master suite. What made these photos even more special is that my dear friend Gentry got to be one of the first to see me in my wedding dress! I'm so glad she got to Virginia Beach early enough the day before the wedding to hang out with myself and the bridal party at Bayberry House. (I didn't share my wedding dress with my bridal party until the wedding day, when I got to do a special first look with all of them!)
I cannot recommend Transcendent Stays properties enough to any brides in the Virginia Beach area who are seeking wedding weekend lodging for themselves or their guests. If Bayberry House is too big for your wedding's lodging needs, Transcendent Stays owns many other smaller but equally nice properties throughout Virginia Beach. The Transcendent Stays team also worked with me offer discounted other properties for my out-of-town wedding guests that preferred to stay in a short-term rental vs. a hotel.
And if you're traveling to Virginia Beach for non-wedding reasons, of course I'd recommend
Transcendent Stays properties for any general travels to this area! 😊
