Confession: these photos were taken in June, and I'm just now getting around to sharing them! Whoops. But hey- despite the fact that stores are already selling Halloween decorations and influencers in my Instagram feed are sharing fall clothing, it is still summer! So I'm still going to share this post today. 😊

Top {last year, very similar design here} // Jeans // Shoes {old, similar here} // Wrap Scarf // Purse // Bracelets c/o // Necklace c/o //
My top, shoes and jeans are all from J. Crew Factory! I have been loyally shopping here for well over a decade now, but I feel like I have really fallen in love with J. Crew Factory in the past couple years especially. After Lilly Pulitzer, their clothing items probably make up the biggest section of my closet now! They just make so many good basics at reasonable prices, and also some fun statement pieces too. With each year that goes by, most of their styles seem even more aligned with my tastes!
This top was a clearance find at the end of last summer, but I knew it would be perfect to save for our 2024 Maine trip. (And I did indeed pack it and wear it for that!) It's the perfect fun and flirty little summer tank that can be dressed up or down. While I ended up wearing it a bit more casually on our Maine trip, I did enjoy dressing it up for these outfit photos!
Ryan is the one who took these photos for me a couple months ago! I try not to involve him too much in blog related tasks, but he is always willing to help when needed. I think he did such a great job on these photos!! Possibly his best work?! 😉 We also lucked out with beautiful lighting the evening that he took these.
This blog post is titled "Summer Date Night Outfit." Truth be told, actually haven't had nearly as many date nights this summer as we have the last two years. I think a few different things have lead to that. First and foremost- we are really trying to scale back on going out and save money between out upcoming wedding and my job loss this year. Our schedules have also looked differently this summer- as Ryan is now at a job that has him in-office four days a week (he was previously full-time work from home), and my schedule changes weekly now with my new job (and includes working lots of weekends). All that to say- fewer dates now really makes me savor and enjoy the ones that we do go on! We did a spontaneous Wednesday night dinner date to our favorite chain restaurant, The Cheesecake Factory, last week. It was just the best!!
This is the first week in a long time that I have two blog posts planned in a week. Thanks so much for reading today, and stay tuned later this week for a fun travel post!
God Bless,
xoxo Annaliese
