     Happy Friday friends! Popping in today to share a couple of my favorite recent purchases styled together. First and foremost is this striped swing dress. Swing dresses made from stretchy material have been very on-trend in the past couple of years, especially striped ones it seems! I had never found any that I thought looked great on me or fit right, but then I found this one. It is one of the comfiest pieces of clothing that I have ever worn, and if you throw it on, you literally have an outfit put together. So easy-peasy for summer! It has been in the high 90s most days in Charlotte recently, and with all of the heat and humidity I haven't been very motivated to spend my usual amounts of time on outfit planning and getting ready. So basic dresses like this one are ideal!

     The dress that I'm wearing is available online here, but I have also found a dupe version from another retailer that is under $10 (no joke!). My shoes are also new, and I'm obsessed with them! I think that they will be the ideal fall transition shoes come September/October, and will coordinate well with everything from weekend looks to business casual outfits. They are extremely comfortable given the heel height as well.

     What are y'all up to this weekend? Fun fact: my mom is here in North Carolina for the next several weeks (she is an artist, and is attending a summer art intensive program here in the state!), so since I have this weekend off from my new job I am going to visit her on Saturday and Sunday! Next week is already looking quite busy for me, but the busier I am, the more productive I am. ;-) No summer slump over here!
