My favorite way to start off a new year is with news about the winter edition of the Lilly Pulitzer Sunshine Sale! I am more excited than normal for this Lilly sale. Why? Because I will be on the hunt for all things wedding! White things to wear for our engagement party or my bridal shower, a cute piece or two to wear for engagement photos, and dresses to wear for friends' upcoming weddings. Bring on the shopping! 😀
I turned 29 earlier this month. This year was a very low-key birthday, but it brought me the most beautiful birthday cake that I've ever had! The cake honestly deserves a whole blog post to itself, I think. 😉 But here's a little birthday recap today:

Lilly Pulitzer has officially announced their 2023 Sunshine Sale dates! There are a few new changes regarding this sale that are a little bit different than how they've done the sales in recent years. But I think these are all good changes, since they give Lilly fans more ways to shop.
Lilly Pulitzer lovers unite! Today is National Wear Your Lilly Day, aka the first day of summer. I've been sharing my favorite Lilly outfits for NWYLD on the blog for many years, but this is the first year that I have a special guest in my photos! 😀

Fans of Lilly Pulitzer know that the brand typically does their big online sales twice a year, in January and September. Talk about an Easter surprise over this weekend to hear that Lilly is doing a surprise one-day Flash Sale, on Monday April 18th, 2022!! 😍
It's been way too long since I've popped over to the Lilly Pulitzer River Road store in Richmond for a try-on session! I was in Richmond last weekend to meet up with a couple friends from Charlottesville, and knew that I had to squeeze in a Lilly Pulitzer store visit while I was up there. One of the many reasons that I love springtime is because it's the annual return of getting to wear most of my Lilly and brightly colored warm-weather clothing items again! So I'm always excited to see the Lilly Spring arrivals each year.
I didn't have quite as much time at the store as I usually do (due to a busy and full day in Richmond!), so I decided to focus this try-on just on dresses in the new collection. For sizing reference on this try-on: for my height I am just shy of 5"7, I have a 34C chest, and I typically wear a size 6 in clothing from most brands. If a brand uses letter sizing, I am sometimes a S and sometimes an M- just depends on the fit and the fabric of an item.
Today is the one-day only winter edition of the Lilly Pulitzer Sunshine Sale!! Lilly Pulitzer only does big online sales twice a year (September and January), so now is the time to shop if you want new and discounted Lilly purchases to wear for the spring and summer months coming up this year. After the sale opens at 8am today, I'll be updating this blog post with my top sale picks, and the items I've purchased.

Summer 2021 is looking to be much more normal than Summer 2020, and I am bursting with excitement for all the fun social events coming up that I can wear Lilly for (and none of them include Zoom!).
