I came back to school yesterday evening after a nice Easter break at home in Maine. Upon arriving at school I was feeling kind of bummed though, as I've blogged about before I've been having a harder semester than last, and this break just went by too darn quick! Anyways, I stopped by the grocery store before heading back to my room (Mainly for the purpose of picking up cookie dough to snack on in the coming week. Hey- I'm being honest at least!)
On my way out of the store, a kind cashier came up to me. He asked "Are you here about the the Easter flowers?"I had no idea what this meant, and I thought he had the wrong person. But then he explained to me how the grocery store had a ton of unsold Easter lilies, and they were giving them away for free-talk about Southern hospitality! Lilies happen to be my favorite flower. I love all flowers, but lilies hold a special place in my heart. I think they're so unique and beautiful looking, and I used to have a sweet pet rabbit named Lily. He showed me where the flowers were and I picked out this one- it's not open yet but that way I can enjoy beautiful blossoms in the coming days!
I realized after how much this small gesture made me smile. Oftentimes I fear that I stress too much about the future, and I stop taking the time to appreciate the small blessings in each day. That's my goal for this week- to stay more in the present and to look for God's blessings everywhere. Hopefully this will generally help me to have a more positive outlook on my life!
What are some little things that have blessed you lately?

P.S. Questions for your vlog: What is your dream future, and what is your "planned" future? How long have you lived in Maine? Things you love & don't like about it? ;) <3
Thank-you for your questions! They will be answered! :-)
