Midweek Ramblings + Recent Purchases.

Ramblings:

  • Time is flying. Is anyone else shocked that October is already halfway over?! They say time flies when you're having fun... and I've definitely been having a great semester so far! This has without a doubt been my best semester of college yet and it's not even over yet, come to think of it I'm sad for it to keep going as fast as it is!
  • A really nice Fall Break. Fall Break has already come and gone, but goodness was it a nice and much needed long weekend! I went home to Maine for Fall Breaks of my freshman and junior year (and my high school best friend flew down to see me during Fall Break sophomore year), so this was my first time spending it totally here in NC, but I loved it. During the first few days I was able to do some really fun Charlotte things, and then I got to see some new parts of the state during my Asheville overnight trip on Monday/Tuesday. A big highlight for me was also getting to take my bestie Mia to visit my former college and to meet some of my friends from there! Honestly though- I think my favorite parts of break were just getting to have some more down days in Charlotte and not feeling so stressed about my school life as I normally am- Charlotte is such a fun city to just do things in!
  • My first Halloween! On a happier note, I'm getting SO excited for Halloween this year! First time in forever that I've been able to say that. This will be my first year celebrating Halloween since I've been in college! During my freshman year when I went to a Christian college, Halloween just wasn't a big deal there, (and I had a ton of homework the night of). The past two years I haven't had any interest in celebrating as my views on certain things used to be more conservative up until last year, and I also rarely drank when I was underage (which is a large part of college Halloween). But I always said I would do Halloween right when I was 21... so this will be my year hopefully! Check out one of my featured purchases in today's post to try and guess one of my costumes. :-)

Purchases:

  • I recently introduced Mia to one of my all-time favorite stores... she and I ended up going twice during Fall Break, once to the Charlotte location and once in Asheville! One out of the many things that I love to purchase there are my favorite hair ties in the world! Definitely on the pricier end for hair accessories but they last forever and don't hurt your hair. And HOW CUTE are these ones that I just picked up this weekend?!
  • Another thing that I picked up.... I've been wanting a ring in this style forever, and when I saw the price tag of this one I couldn't resist!
  • As I mentioned above, I'm getting excited to actually celebrate Halloween this year! I plan to go out two nights, and I have two costumes. One I thought of almost a year ago and I can't wait to do it. But the other one required me to order this item for it... anyone want to guess what I'll be with my other costume?

Now that Fall Break is done, I need to have a really productive next few days and next coming weekend! I have midterms next week so lots of of studying to start soon, and I also have to work soon on updating my resume. Eeeek!

P.S. Have you entered my giveaway yet with Seersucker Sassy Boutique?

  15. Can't wait to see your costumes! I absolutely love Halloween at college, it's so much fun. Maybe even more fun than when we were little. I just wish there was more candy and less alcohol at these college Halloween parties haha!
